Ms. Janice was the absolute sweetest. Our family home was always filled with joy and laughter whenever she and Mr. Puryear visited us in Chandler, Texas. Her laughter and gentle spirit had a way of bringing a smile to everyone she encountered.
Ms. Janice had an incredible sense of humor and a special gift for making people feel comfortable and at ease in her presence. As my sister Lila mentioned, we grew especially close to Ms. Janice a couple of months ago when she spent an entire week with our mother—her college roommate. Ms. Janice was such a high-spirited, energetic, vibrant, and beautiful lady. She was my mom's life long friend from their Prairie View days. She encouraged my mom to move to St. Louis soon after graduation to start their teaching careers (my mom couldn't take the cold and moved back to Texas).

Bob,
As a true friend and Christian brother, I share your grief and personal sorrow in the death of wife Janice. As you continue on life Journey, your past will keep your future brighter. Never regret a day in your life shared with Janice. This will help you get through the difficult days ahead. Good days will help you focus on shared happiness, bad days will help you remember all the wonderful experiences shared together, your worst days will help you remember life lessons learned together. And on your best days all the loving memories will form a protective cocoon around you forever.
