To the family of Sallie R. Massey rest in peace. Sallie was my classmate and good friend . We attended the McKinley High School. The mighty Goldbugs. Over the years we lost contact but I could truely say she was a beautiful person inside and out. RIP MIGHTY GOLDBUG 🙏 😢

FROM JOYCE SPENCE-POWELL CLASS OF 69.

Aunt Sallie you will be truly missed! You were the matriarch of our family after Grandma Massey passed and you did such a wonderful job! You were so fun and supportive to all of the family members. I could always count on you for a good recipe and culinary advice. Then when I started my nail career, you came to be one of my first customers. I will miss going to your lovely home filled with food, beautiful home décor, and your wonderful flowers. You were so generous in letting me cut and take some of the most beautiful hydrangeas from the FRONT of your bush in your back yard! That's just a small example of how giving you were.…

Sallie Rae Massey Rusan and the 2 of us, were young together, we visited each other, socialized and she stood with is when we married. Over time we naturally visited less often as we raised our children and worked thru decades of our career jobs. Yet. each time we met it was a hugging celebration. Sallie was a beautiful woman, with a most lovely personality presence. God has called her name and may she rest eternally in His perpetual Light. We loved her and she will be a part of us until our names are called.
